Mentor Mentee Programme (Central Region)

The Mentor‐Mentee Programme is a professional skills upgrading programme developed by Clinical Research Malaysia (CRM) to grow the pool of world‐class clinical researchers in Malaysia. The primary aim of this programme is to equip less experienced medical professionals with the research skills required to select and conduct industry‐sponsored research (ISR) through the guidance of their more experienced peers.

A successful mentoring process involves proper matching of mentors and mentees, acceptance and commitment to the process, defined roles, regular communication and feedback, mutual respect, defined and agreed outcomes and regular assessment of progress. This mentoring relationship is mutually rewarding and beneficial to both parties.

CRM’s mentoring programme should not be construed as a relationship between a principal investigator and his/her co‐investigator. Instead, the CRM Mentor‐Mentee Programme will revolve around a coaching methodology that is based on the sharing of ideas, nurturing, providing support, building confidence and motivating team members to achieve their full potential.
