NCSM: Breast cancer tops all others in M’sia
Statistics show that 5% of women will get breast cancer in Malaysia.
PETALING JAYA: The National Cancer Society of Malaysia said research shows that over 5% of women will develop breast cancer in Malaysia.
Speaking exclusively to FMT, Dr Saunthari Somasundaram from NCSM explained, “The peak incidence appeared to be 50–59 years old while 60% of breast cancer occurs in women between the ages of 30-59 years old, with higher peaks after 40 years.”
