- To be the centre of information for industry sponsored clinical research (ISR).
- To assist the industry in identifying investigators and trial sites.
- To assist principal investigators in conducting feasibility assessments, budget negotiations with sponsors/Contract Research Organizations (CROs) and in conducting trials.
- To review Clinical Trial Agreements (CTAs) and provide legal assistance for investigators.
- To provide link-up with local and international sponsors/CROs.
- To provide oversight in the conduct of ISR in Ministry of Health (MOH) facilities.
- To manage research funds.
- To grow the pool of potential investigators and other research staff.
- To upgrade the skills of investigators, research assistants and research nurses.
- To develop clinical research sites and facilities in the public and private sectors.
- To build awareness of ISR amongst the public and healthcare fraternity.
- To organize conferences relating to ISR.
- To organize meetings and dialogues with sponsors/CROs.
- To participate and exhibit in relevant local and international events.
- To advocate for supportive and nurturing clinical research policies.
